Storengy UK adheres to GDF SUEZ corporate values and considers the protection of Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) as a core value beneficial to all European gas storage activities.
For all our activities, we believe that all incidents can be prevented, and our goal is to prevent adverse HSE impacts on employees, contractors, public, our stakeholders and the environment.
Storengy UK is committed to:
- Comply with local HSE regulations
- Prevent major accidents and limit adverse consequences for people and the environment
- Integrate HSE into the management of all activities
- Create a safe, secure and healthy workplace and preserve the environment
- Be engaged with employees and contractors to manage operations according to HSE Best Practice
- Review this policy annually and continuously monitor and improve our HSE performance, and
- Communicate our HSE performance to all stakeholders.
Storengy UK shall demonstrate visible HSE leadership and shall provide adequate resources to secure the highest level of HSE culture and competence in our organisation.
HEALTH AND SAFETY NEWS:
Storengy UK Limited attended the annual Gas Industry Award Ceremony held in London in May 2009. A number of awards were presented on the day and Storengy UK were delighted to receive the Gas Industry Safety Award.
The award is the direct result of the strong safety ethic that is promoted by management at Storengy UK and filters through to all levels of staff and contractors within the company.
Speaking of Storengy UK's achivement, the judging panel said, "the winner has achieved a publicly recognised excellent safety performance led by senior management and supported by comprehensive policies and procedures in it's gas storage project."
Managing Director of Storengy UK, Jacques Badet said that the award was, "dedicated to Storengy UK staff and all contractors working at Stublach." He is keen to add that the award does not mean that Storengy UK will "rest on it's laurels", the company will continue to promote it's culture of "safety first".
